The local distributor of MAN Truck & Bus, MAN Automotive Imports, recently added another short clip to the ‘day in a life’ series on its YouTube channel.
Taking centre stage in the latest video is a MAN TGS 41.480 8x8 mobile crane – a part of the fleet owned by LinCon Hire, a Brisbane-based Elevated Work Platform (EWP) specialist. The firm also has facilities in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Townsville and Rockhampton.
The two-minute clip provides a snapshot of a day’s work for the MAN truck, as it assists in the fitting of aluminium panels to a University of Technology, Sydney (UTS) building in the inner-city Sydney suburb of Ultimo.
The TGS in question is fitted with a 480hp (353kW) MAN D26 engine – a turbo-charged, intercooled and fuel-injected common-rail diesel that has been mated with MAN’s 12-speed TipMatic gearbox. The model comes with a speed transfer case as standard and has permanent drive to the front and rear axles.
Recent additions to the model include MAN’s ‘Easy Start’ hill start assist system, Off-Road ABS and a double DIN MAN Topline stereo with 5.2in touchscreen.
Cris Gillespie, General Manager – Marketing at MAN Automotive Imports, said the clip was a neatly packaged and attractive way to portray the truck’s abilities.
“We believe these videos are an excellent way to interact with our customers to showcase the extensive product range and the trucks’ capabilities,” he said.
“We plan to produce more videos in the future, with an emphasis on detailing how MAN has helped our customers’ businesses evolve.”
