MAN TGX gets the gong in Britain

MAN's TGX has been lauded at the UK's coveted Motor Transport Awards 2018, the model picking up the accolade of 'Fleet Truck of the Year'.

Motor Transport is a pre-eminent British transport media outlet and July 5 saw it host its 32nd annual Motor Transport Awards, with winners from a wide range of categories announced before an audience of over 1000 industry representative at a gala evening in London.

According to Motor Transport editor, Steve Hobson, the MAN TGX convinced an expert judging panel of its merits across a wide range of criteria.

"The judging panel, made up of extremely experienced industry professionals, singled out the MAN TGX for its high efficiency, low cost of ownership, excellent parts and service support delivered through a highly focused dealer network, as well as the high levels of driver comfort," he said.

"These are all attributes that make a real difference to truck operators and drivers."

Presented with the award at the official ceremony, Thomas Hemmerich, managing director of MAN Truck & Bus UK Ltd, said he was thrilled to receive the title.

"I'm delighted to accept this award and see it as a true indication that the MAN TGX, our dealer network and the customer service packages we offer are exactly what the market demands," he said.
