Truck and trailer parts and accessories specialist MaxiPARTS is set to open a new retail outlet in Darwin

MaxiPARTS is continuing with its program of expansion, the truck and trailer components firm recently announcing it will be opening a retail store in the northern capital of Darwin by July 2014.

An all-new construction, MaxiPARTS General Manager Peter Loimaranta said the company is hoping to repeat the success of another recent start-up in Mackay, Queensland, which was established in November 2013.

“We will be looking to replicate the key success factors of that store, including the right service, right location, right stock, and the right price,” he said.

“Darwin has changed significantly over the last few years and we believe it is a critical site for anyone wanting to be a truly national operator. We are committed to providing the right service levels to local customers, while also providing national support to larger operators.”

The Darwin store will be located at 508 Stuart Highway, Winnellie, close to Darwin’s port. The site will encompass over 1300m² of showroom and warehousing space.

Alan Bianchi, Northern Regional Manager for MaxiPARTS, said he was thrilled to be overseeing the project.

“The store will be based on the model of our Gladstone and Mackay stores, which are having great success in servicing companies involved in major infrastructure, mining and gas projects, along with our core business servicing the greater transport industry,” he said.

“We look forward to appointing key local staff to provide a professional service level for our Northern Territory customer base.”

The announcement follows the acquisition or appointment of new NSW stores in Dubbo, Wagga Wagga, Albury and Warnervale.
