MaxiTRANS announces dealer expansion

Regional Victoria gets a trailer boost from Graham Thomson Motors in Shepparton

Trailer manufacturer and parts supplier MaxiTRANS has announced that Graham Thomson Motors has joined its dealer network distributing the full MaxiTRANS range in Shepparton and surrounding areas in Victoria.

Part of the Mildura Truck Centre group, a MaxiTRANS dealer for over 65 years, Graham Thomson Motors has come from humble beginnings in the early 70s as a PACCAR franchise. Since being purchased by the MTC Group, the business has continued to service the regional area of Shepparton.

Today, GTM has taken over distribution of the full range of MaxiTRANS trailer brands which includes Freighter, Maxi-CUBE, Lusty EMS, Hamelex White, Trout River Australia, AZMEB and Peki.

The Mildura Truck Centre which includes dealerships in Mildura and Swan Hill, Victoria and Broken Hill, New South Wales. Graham Thomson Motors was acquired by the MTC group in 2011.

“We are excited to continue to expand the MTC relationship with MaxiTRANS and add Graham Thomson Motors to the MaxiTRANS dealer network,” said Glenn Leake, MTC Dealer Principal.

“The extension of trailer sales to the existing parts, service and truck offering allows us to truly be a one stop shop for our valued customers in the Shepparton region. Giving us the added flexibility to offer an even wider range of transport solutions,” he added.

Graham Thomson Motors is housed in an impressive five-acre facility on the corner of Doyles and New Dookie Road with a total of 12 service bays and a number of dedicated in-house trailer technicians offering full truck and trailer service capability.

“The MTC group have been a strategic partner of MaxiTRANS’ for over 65 years and the addition of GTM into the MaxiTRANS Dealer network is an exciting opportunity for both parties to grow our relationship,” said Andrew McKenzie, Group General Manager; Sales and Marketing MaxiTRANS.

“This most recent announcement is yet a further demonstration of the importance and value in which MaxiTRANS holds its customers. It shows we are ready to invest in providing the products and services required so our customers know they can rely on us and they can continue doing their job of delivering the needs of a nation,” Mr McKenzie concluded.

MaxiTRANS recently announced the roll out of a mobile support network providing transport operators with on-site servicing capability and access to 24/7 trailer breakdown support.
