MaxiTRANS bolsters team

Trailer giant MaxiTRANS has expanded its executive team with the appointment of a new sales and distribution chief

The executive ranks at Australian trailer heavyweight MaxiTRANS have swelled, with the appointment of Andrew McKenzie (pictured) to the newly created role of Group General Manager – Sales and Distribution.

Effective immediately, Mr McKenzie has assumed national responsibility for the sales, distribution and marketing for all the trailer brands under the MaxiTRANS umbrella.

Mr McKenzie brings a wealth of expertise to the position, having previously served in a variety of senior sales, manufacturing and engineering roles at PACCAR Australia. Most recently he was employed as General Manager of Kenworth DAF Melbourne.

According to MaxiTRANS Managing Director, Michael Brockhoff, Mr McKenzie's arrival is a coup for the MaxiTRANS stable of brands.

"Andrew has been extremely successful in his 10-year career with PACCAR and we look forward to him applying his experience with one of the country's leading truck manufacturers to the MaxiTRANS trailer business," he said in a media statement.

Mr McKenzie said he was thrilled to take on the challenge.

"MaxiTRANS offers industry-leading products through its Freighter, Maxi-CUBE, Hamelex White, Lusty EMS, AZMEB and Peki brands, coupled with a broad network of sales, service and parts locations," he said.

"Those were major factors as to why I was excited to come on board with Michael and the team.

"My first action will be to get out on the road with our sales team to speak first hand with as many MaxiTRANS customers as possible. I want to gain a firsthand understanding of what makes this company great and, more importantly, what we can do to make it world class."

Mr McKenzie said such improvements would come in part through the business's new company-owned NSW dealership.

"MaxiTRANS NSW, through its two locations in Ingleburn and Warnervale, has already been a great success," he said.

"Not prepared to rest on our laurels, we are already looking to further enhance our customer experience and capabilities in NSW via a number of exciting initiatives we'll announce over the coming months."
