MaxiTRANS, Australia and New Zealand’s largest supplier of trailers and road transport equipment, is celebrating 65 years in partnership with Mildura Truck Centre (MTC), which it says is a significant milestone for the industry.
MTC began its operations in 1951 when Ken Leake put down a deposit of 10 pounds on the humble Buronga Service Station, sitting on the border between Victoria and New South Wales. Two years later, on May 11, 1953, Ken signed his first dealership agreement with Freighter trailers.
MTC is the oldest dealer relationship in the MaxiTRANS dealer network, a proud achievement for both parties. Twenty years is considered a big deal in OE/dealership relationships but these two Companies have reached a significant milestone of 65 years in strategic partnership.
“As a family-owned business that has been around for generations, we have experienced substantial growth with the support of MaxiTRANS and this is testament to what makes a great working relationship,” said Glenn Leake, MTC Dealer Principal.
Dean Jenkins, Managing Director and CEO of MaxiTRANS, commented: “This anniversary signifies more than half a century’s worth of experience. Our partnership has enjoyed a long and exciting history of firsts.
"MaxiTRANS is unwavering in its commitment to innovation to deliver safer and more reliable transport solutions. MTC plays a key role in helping to deliver our products to the market, as well as servicing valued customers," he added.
Going from strength to strength, MTC now holds the dealership rights to all MaxiTRANS brands including Freighter, Maxi-CUBE, Lusty EMS, Hamelex White, AZMEB and PEKI.
