Victoria Police has warned motorists that the fixed speed cameras on Melbourne's Western Ring Road near the Fullarton Road Bridge will soon be activated.
The cameras were switched off back in January 2010 to allow VicRoads to carry out road upgrades, but Victoria Police says they'll be back in action once more during the week beginning October 19, while stopping short of naming an exact date.
Drivers are now being warned of the change via variable message boards, which were put in place today (October 8).
Victoria Police says a recent test period for the cameras saw around 57 speed infringements recorded per day.
