Those judges include celebrity chef Shane Delia, leading stylist Megan Morton, Blackbird Venture partner Nick Crocker, LaunchVic CEO Dr Kate Cornick, and the Managing Director for Mercedes-Benz Vans Australia and New Zealand, Diane Tarr.
On the day, the six teams will work alongside Mercedes-Benz specialists to bring their innovative business idea to life, using the Vito as a blank canvas.
The winning team will drive away in a new Vito, while cash prizes of $5000 and $2500 will be awarded to second and third respectively, courtesy of RedZed Lending Solutions.
Ms Tarr said the success of last year's competition meant the challenge was always destined to return.
"We ran this event for the first time in 2016 and were so impressed with the diversity and creativity on display from our finalists," she said.
"This year we are really pleased to open up Hack My Van to New Zealand and can't wait to see the entries.
"The versatility of the Vito means if you can dream it, we can do it and so we are excited by the ideas and possibilities for how the Vito van can be reimagined to transform an existing business, or completely reinvented to create new businesses."
