Mercedes-Benz marks service plan milestone

Key highway prime mover models bought before September 30 to receive complimentary Best Basic Service Plan coverage with boosted mileage

For a limited time, Mercedes-Benz Trucks is offering a tempting service offer on key highway prime movers.

Approved customers who purchase a new Mercedes-Benz highway prime mover with a GCM of 90,000kg or under before September 30 will receive the brand's Best Basic Service Plan for five years or 800,000 kilometres, whichever comes first – an upgrade of 300,000 kilometres on the existing complimentary service plan offer.

The deal may also be available on some heavier models on application.

Mercedes-Benz Trucks says it's rolling out the offer to mark the 40th anniversary of the introduction of its first factory service plan, which came in 1979.

Mercedes-Benz Truck and Bus Director, Michael May, said the boosted service plan made good sense for prospective buyers.

"Some of our senior staff have told me that our service plan introduction was a big deal back in 1979," he said.

"I was too young to notice at the time, but I can tell you that our current service plans are extremely popular with our customers today and make their lives a lot easier.

"It just made sense to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Australian service plans with this fantastic offer that makes owning a Mercedes-Benz truck an even smarter business decision."
