Mercedes-Benz Trucks lauded

Mercedes-Benz Trucks has been voted 'Readers' Choice for Best Commercial Vehicles and Brands 2014' by German truck-industry professionals
Mercedes-Benz Trucks has featured prominently in the annual awards co-hosted by a number of leading German heavy vehicle magazines, the manufacturer claiming the coveted title of 'Readers Choice for Best Commercial Vehicles and Brands 2014', among others.
The 18th running of the awards held each year by Lastauto, Omnibus, Trans Aktuell and Fernfahrer saw 7403 readers vote on products from all commercial vehicle manufacturers across 22 categories, the voting also taking into account technical aspects, performance and branding.
In addition to the prestigious 'Readers' Choice' award, the Mercedes-Benz Actros and Atego won individual awards in the Long Distance and Medium Duty categories, while Mercedes-Benz was also the winner of the Truck & Trailer Services title.
Mercedes-Benz's Service Contracts brand, CharterWay, also won the Rent category.
According to Justin Whitford, General Manager for Mercedes-Benz Truck & Bus Australia/Pacific, the awards highlight the quality of the firm's products and service.
"This is a fantastic result for Mercedes-Benz Trucks and it further cements our position as a worldwide leader in truck technology, safety, economy and comfort," he said.
"These results are a reliable barometer for the industry and they certainly highlight the strong public perception and sentiment around Mercedes-Benz Trucks."
