Michelin X Multi range now complete

Michelin says that with the launch of Michelin X Multi T, the X Multi range is now complete, offering savings in operational costs.

The tyre has been designed specifically for trailers used in regional and highway operations.

The Michelin X Multi T tyre offers three main benefits that combine to offer the truck owner lower operating costs, with no compromise on the safety of their vehicle.

Thanks to its unique casing design and its improved re-treadability, the Michelin X Multi T contributes to lower downtime and cost per kilometre.

The unique rounded shoulder design and its robust architecture help prevent shoulder splits and tread separation caused by lateral scrubbing, we're told.

The wider tread results in more even wear, and the new U-shaped grooves reduce stone retention. The tyre casing is therefore better preserved for retreading.

Tyres in the Michelin X Multi range are designed to work together to achieve optimum savings for fleet operations. When compared the cost per kilometre with that of other competitor tyres, internal tests have shown that when Michelin X Multi range tyres are fitted on all axles, there can be a saving of up to 16 per cent per year.

Michelin X Multi range can also be retreaded and due to their 'multi-life' capability they further contribute to reducing operating costs.

Each tyre is designed for a specific position on the truck, with each tyre addressing the challenges linked with the specific position/axle.
