The Australian Trucking Association has announced that GPS fleet management firm MTData has thrown its support behind the industry body's Trucking Australia 2015 conference, which will be held in Hobart, Tasmania, from March 19 to 21.
The MTData Business Lunch will be held on the opening day of the conference, allowing industry members to come together to strengthen relations, share information, and forge new contacts.
The broader conference, meanwhile, will once again bring delegates up to date on the latest issues impacting the Australian trucking industry, with addresses from several speakers backed up with a number of interactive forums that will help shape the ATA's representative activities for the year ahead. The award-winning conference has been a sell-out success over the last two years, and this year will be held in the beautiful marine precinct of the Tasmanian capital.
ATA Chair Noelene Watson has publicly expressed her thanks for MTData's support of the Trucking Australia 2015 conference.
"MTData has been a tremendous supporter of the trucking industry over many years," she said.
"We are very pleased to welcome such a well-regarded Australian innovator as a sponsor of our national conference."
An Australian-owned company, MTData (Mobile Tracking and Data Pty Ltd) was established in 2003 and now operates in six countries.
Specialising in GPS fleet management and telemetry solutions, the company offers a range of technical innovations to the transport industry.
MTData's CEO, Matthew Bellizia, said partnering with the ATA was a logical step.
"We see that we have much in common with the ATA," he said.
"The ATA is proactively representing transport companies that already use our systems to improve productivity, maintain compliance and achieve better asset management and our goal is to continue to proactively support these companies through evolving technology.
"We want the industry to know that our motivations and theirs are clearly aligned and we see that the Trucking Australia conference is the forum to do that."
The ATA has announced that registration and a variety of accommodation options for Trucking Australia 2015 will be launched on Friday, September 19.
