Navistar Auspac, the local importer and distributor of Cat Trucks and the imminent International brand, says the 2015 Brisbane Truck Show was a stunning success, with major interest reported for both brands and International products taking out a number of awards.
According to Glen Sharman (pictured, second from left), Navistar Auspac Director of Sales, Marketing and Business Development, the event was the perfect forum to showcase Cat's expanding line-up, and to spread word of the looming return of International.
"We had a big story to tell and new products to show, and it is extremely gratifying to know that we were able to convey that story and show those products with such an exceptional level of acceptance to a broad audience," he said.
The long-anticipated return of International to the Australian truck market was led by two stunning ProStar models, while the heavily customised LoneStar Blade saw crowds flock to the stand to get their first glimpse of International's futuristic and innovatively styled hardware.
With the Blade leading the charge and the Cummins ISX-powered ProStar in support, Navistar filled first and second spots in the 'Peoples' Choice' award for the most popular exhibits at the show.
However, the success continued with the red-and-white ProStar, which was unanimously judged to be 'Truck of the Show'.
"Brisbane Truck Show is the premier event on the Australian trucking calendar and to win these highly-prized awards is testament to the appeal of our products and tribute to the workmanship and dedication provided by the people who put all the finishing touches to the trucks on show," said Mr Sharman.
"We’ll certainly be back in 2017, bigger and even better. You can count on it."
