New CFO for SEA Electric
The e-mobility firm has announced the appointment of a new Chief Financial Officer who will bring considerable experience and expertise to the roleElectric commercial vehicle powertrain specialist SEA Electric has boosted its executive team with the appointment of Phillip Tighe to the position of Chief Financial Officer.
Originally from Melbourne, the now US citizen has an automotive career spanning several decades, including 35 years with Ford Motor Company, where he gained experience in product development, manufacturing processes, and sales channels, along with operating at a senior level in the giant’s finance function.
Mr Tighe has lived and worked in Australia, the US, Germany, Japan, Venezuela, Mexico, Thailand and China, and has had extensive dealings with many European countries, along with most of Asia, Brazil, and India.
In recent years, Mr Tighe has served as the CFO for Blue Bird Corporation, a manufacturer of American school buses.

Founded in Melbourne in 2012, SEA Electric is now headquartered in Los Angeles, California. Its proprietary SEA-Drive electric powertrain is found in electric commercial vehicles from a number of large manufacturers, and the company operates across five continents, with the capacity to fit upwards of 60,000 trucks a year.
