New mega service centre in Adelaide

North East Isuzu takes service to the next level with major centre upgrade

There’s good news for South Australian transport businesses as North East Isuzu unveils a major upgrade to their service centre in Burton.

The sleek new centre boasts 36 service bays including purpose-built ‘express bays’, allowing the dealership to offer super-slick turnaround times.

North East Isuzu Dealer Principal, Tony Emanuele, said the original service centre had served the dealership for 26 years, but that customer demand had outpaced capacity.

The new service centre has 36 bays including express bays for quick turnaround times.

“North East Isuzu has grown significantly over the years and so have the needs of our customers,” he said.

“The new facility design was a collaborative effort. We’ve collected input from the senior leadership team at North East and coupled it with insight accumulated from our many years of experience catering to the needs of local business.

“The end result is a sophisticated workspace that maximises space and staff productivity, ensuring that we continue to offer customers the very best service and keep their downtime to a minimum,” Mr Emanuele said.

The new service bays are equipped with overhead cranes and the latest brake and shaker machines.

Everything is close to hand including multiple dispensers for oils and fluids.

A custom engine and gearbox rebuild room and purpose-built tooling room are also fitted with overhead cranes, reducing intensive manual labour for the service staff.

Most impressive perhaps are the underground heavy vehicle inspection pits which make the tricky task of under-body maintenance and repair significantly easier.

According to Mr Emanuele, the service centre was also built with the intention of providing centre staff the safest, most efficient working environment.

“Our staff are absolutely loving their new workspace,” Mr Emanuele said.

The DP at North East says the staff are enjoying their new environment.

“They appreciate the enhanced lighting and the extra space as well as having all their tools and equipment within easy reach in their respective work bays.”

Mr Emanuele noted that the service team were evidently enjoying their updated staff kitchen which is fitted with the latest amenities, and the courtyard for relaxation during breaks.

“A purpose-built training room will also ensure we remain at the top of our game,” he added.

Isuzu Australia’s National Service Manager, Brett Stewart, said that North East’s commitment to its staff and service was excellent: “With a reputation to uphold as Australia’s favourite truck brand, constant improvement of our aftersales support facilities is critical, and simply isn’t possible without the continued support and dedication of our dealers and their teams.

“The new facility at North East is the perfect reflection of the Isuzu Trucks standard, with its state-of-the-art equipment and best practice workspace,” said Mr Stewart.

“We are proud to have dealerships of this calibre representing the Isuzu brand and promise of quality.”
