The peak representative body for Australia's road transport operators, National Road Transport Association (NatRoad), has appointed Warwick Ragg as its next Chief Executive Officer.
Mr Ragg will take over the post from out-going NatRoad CEO Chris Melham, effective Monday, February 9.
The President of NatRoad, Geoff Crouch, announced the appointment yesterday (January 22) and has formerly welcomed Mr Ragg to his impending role.
"The appointment of Warwick was the culmination of an extensive selection process which attracted over 50 candidates nationwide and I am thrilled to have secured his services as our incoming CEO," he said.
Mr Ragg previously held the position of CEO of industry association Australian Forest Growers for 11 years, and before that held a senior position with the NSW Farmers Association.
"Mr Ragg's grass-roots experience will put him in a good position in his dealings with, and as a representative of, the NatRoad membership," states a NatRoad media release.
