MaxiTRANS held an open day for its new 20,000sqm sales, service and repair facility at Smeaton Grange on Sydney’s south-western outskirts this week (Feb 24), bringing the number of wholly owned MaxiTRANS service centres nationwide to 10.
MaxiTRANS Managing Director, Michael Brockhoff, said that the new dealership would "increase credibility of having our own facility, our own guys out on the road”.
The facility, which opened its gates in mid-December, houses a 2400sqm workshop, four service pits, six chassis preparation bays, two fibreglass repair shops, a spray booth and a truck wash.
"The addition of a wholly-owned MaxiTRANS dealership in Sydney furthers our ongoing investment into providing high levels of customer service through our industry-leading sales, parts, service and repair network," Brockhoff said.
The Smeaton Grange dealership sells MaxiTRANS trailer and rigid body brands, as well as used trailer sales and rentals. The service workshop can undertake fibreglass, aluminium and steel repairs from minor servicing to full rollover repairs, as well as trailer pre-deliveries and tipper body fit-ups.
"The capability of the new dealership adds value to our sales offices in the Riverina and Central Coast, while giving customers access to our products regardless of their location,"
MaxiTRANS took the opportunity to showcase its new VersaBOLT tippers, which we recently reported on here. They feature a modular construction that cuts down on production time and in-service repair time and cost. Also on display were the Freighter AutoHold with Auto Mezz Decks and Freighter’s new spring assisted load restraint gates. The new MaxiTRANS dealership is situated at 5 Anzac Avenue, Smeaton Grange, four kilometres from the Hume Freeway and 2.4km from Narellan Town Centre.
