New NTC Commissioners announced

The Minster for Infrastructure and Regional Development, Warren Truss, has announced the new board of Commissioners for the National Transport Commission
A new board of Commissioners has been unveiled at the National Transport Commission, with the new appointments recently announced by the Federal Minster for Infrastructure and Regional Development, Warren Truss.
The NTC’s Chair is now David Anderson, while the Deputy Chair is Carolyn Walsh. Anderson and Walsh will be assisted by Commissioners Nola Bransgrove OAM, Mike Mrdak, and Norm McIlfatrick.
The Commissioners have been appointed for a three-year term, effective from January 1, 2014.
The NTC’s Chief Executive (and fellow Commissioner), Paul Retter, welcomed the influx of fresh expertise.
“The new Commissioners will bring a wealth of expert industry knowledge and public sector experience from a state, national and international level,” he said.
“I am confident that we can work together with our stakeholders to bring about real and positive change for the Australian transport sector,” said Mr Retter.
David Anderson is an independent transport and infrastructure consultant who has previously served as the CEO of VicRoads and the Independent Chair of the Performance Based Standard Review Panel, while Carolyn Walsh is also a Commissioner at the Australian Transport Safety Bureau. She provides consultancy services in safety and risk management and has held several positions in the Commonwealth Department of Industry, Science and Resources.
