New product: Big Red lights

One of the latest players on Australia's automotive lighting scene is Big Red, which boasts a range of LED driving lights and LED light bars that the company says are ideal for 4WD, SUV and transport applications.

The Big Red LED Driving Lamps have a 220mm diameter and feature free-form reflector technology coupled with the latest high-output XML Cree LEDs.

The manufacturer says the lamps are robust in construction, with precision cast-aluminium bodies, virtually unbreakable polycarbonate lenses, stainless steel mounting hardware and lens protectors. An additional feature is a park light function built into the lamp, further enhancing its styling while improving visibility and safety for oncoming traffic.

Big Red says its Driving Lamps produce a bright white light of 6000 kelvin, yet they have an extremely low current draw of just 2.2A at 12V and offer a virtually maintenance-free life expectancy of over 50,000 hours.

The free-form reflector captures and focuses the light, producing a powerful spot beam combined with a smooth, wide spread of light.

Also included in the Big Red range is a broad array of LED Light Bars to meet a wide number of applications. The six models currently in the range are capable of providing light outputs from 2000 to 18,200 lumen. Each light bar is pre-wired with a waterproof connector and is sealed and waterproof to a rating of IP67.

Optional mounting accessories are also available, including cross sliding brackets and bullbar mounts.
