New product: Eaton diaphragm clutch

Global drivetrain specialist Eaton has launched a new 430mm diaphragm spring clutch onto the Australian market

Eaton has expanded its local range of driveline components with the addition of a 430mm diaphragm spring clutch suitable for European commercial vehicles.

The clutch will be available in 31 pull-type and two push-type specifications, and Eaton says the new product line provides customers with a high-quality replacement clutch that features high thermal properties and improved wear resistance.

Eaton says the 430mm clutches are made from 100 per cent new components and are built to OEM quality and durability standards. The products feature proven technology with a high-strength stamped steel bracket, robust diaphragm design, and premium organic driven disc facings, which are said to provide smooth engagement while maintaining a high thermal resistance.

"This is the first Eaton-branded clutch product for European commercial vehicle applications," said Tom Nielson, Sales & Marketing Manager, Eaton Vehicle Group.

"It is manufactured using the same assembly equipment, tooling and testing facilities as our OE product. It was a natural progression to extend our product portfolio to offer the market a choice for high-quality replacement diaphragm spring clutches based on robust and proven technology."
