Australian bullbar manufacturer King Bars has expanded its range with the addition of a new highway bar for Western Star 4800 and 4900 models that it says is ideal for the B-double market.
The slimline Hume Metro four-post bar (pictured) is Front Under-run Protection System (FUPS) certified and features 3-inch posts with 2.5-inch pipes, a 560mm-deeep base and a steel backing channel.
King Bars says the bar extends 192mm from the front of the truck's grill to the front of the posts, giving full bullbar protection with a minimum of length.
Another fairly recent arrival to the King Bars range is its Texan bumper (also pictured). The Texan bumper is also FUPS certified and features a number-plate surround.
Based in Ipswich, Qld, King Bars also recently turned its attention to the lucrative NSW market, and has appointed A&I Autogroup One as its official agent in the state.
According to the Managing Director of King Bars, Martin Nye, the company is expanding its offerings to suit NSW buyers in the wake of the decline of its tradition markets in mining and livestock.
"Apart from making sure we had the right product offerings to suit the NSW market, we also needed a local agent," he said.
"We historically have had minimal sales directly into NSW and we undertook the conscious decision to find someone who could support us there, because local support is always critical.
"King Bars was directed to A&I Autogroup One as a supplier with a very strong reputation within the NSW industry. A&I are now the only formal agency for King Bars in the country and offer a one-stop shop with everything to customise a truck."
A&I Autogroup One is located at 1-2-8 Daniel Street in the Sydney suburb of Wetherill Park and can be contacted on (02) 9609 8200.
