Teletrac Navman has just announced its new Smart Dashcam will be on sale in Australia from Monday, February 28.

The Smart Dashcam combines a forward-facing and a driver-facing dashcam with telematics and an array of artificial-intelligence-enabled features, giving fleet operators a powerful tool with which they can interact with drivers in real time and promote road safety.
Teletrac Navman says the Smart Dashcam captures and continuously analyses footage to identify external and in-vehicle events and alerts drivers of risky and dangerous situations. “Managers are equipped with a comprehensive picture of safety and driver behaviour, helping to promote a safer driving culture in transport organisations that ultimately delivers better safety outcomes for everyone,” the company says.

The Smart Dashcam also features built-in scorecard and driver coaching features, providing a structure for rewards and fostering healthy competition between drivers.
Operators can request footage gathered on the road and thereby protect their business against fraudulent incident claims.

“We know that safety starts with visibility, and our AI-powered Smart Dashcams solution provides customers with first-hand view into the safety of drivers in their vehicles, helping everyone in the business to ensure safety, improve overall efficiency, incident protection against fraudulent claims, and reduce the risky driving behaviours that can lead to collisions,” said Andrew Rossington, Chief Product Officer, Teletrac Navman.
