New Sales Director at Scania Australia
Former Eaton GM strengthens new-look management teamAutomotive industry specialist Martin Toomey (pictured) has joined Scania Australia in the role of Sales Director across all Truck, Bus and Engine divisions.
For the past eight years Managing Director Roger McCarthy has also held the role of Sales Director.
Following Mr McCarthy's return to the UK and the appointment of Mikael Jansson as the company’s new Managing Director, Mr Toomey has been appointed to the sales role.
Toomey has 17 years of industry experience, working for multinational component suppliers at General Manger level, both locally and across Asia.
"I am excited to be joining Scania at this stage in the company’s history," he said.
"Over the past few years, Scania’s rise under Roger McCarthy’s leadership has been resolute and admirable.
"Scania is evolving its hardware and software products and services into a new paradigm, whereby we will increasingly play the role of an insightful business partner to our customers, offering them solutions tailored to their exact needs.
"We will be looking to bring many more customers to the Scania family, as well as to expand the scope of our offer to our existing customers, in order to facilitate their journey to greater profitability," Mr Toomey added.
Mr Toomey's new role will take effect immediately.
