Western Star Trucks says it will become the first truck manufacturer to offer 'next level' e-commerce with the launch of a new website for Australian and New Zealand customers.
The website allows users to choose the right truck for their needs by comparing truck and engine combinations by model and design.
It features a rotating vehicle carousel and an extensive image collection for each truck model. It is compatible with mobile devices, smartphones and tablets, thanks to its responsive design.
The website, westernstar.com.au, offers close to 500 products from brands including Truck-Lite, Rigid Industries, Alcoa Wheels, National Seating, Red Dog and Waeco. And we're told that more products will be added progressively.
According to Kimberley Ruddock, General Manager of Marketing at Penske Transportation Group International, the design concept drew inspiration from the car and technology industries.
"Our team used the latest web design elements to create something truly next-level for our industry," said Mrs Ruddock. The westernstar.com.au website also has in-built software so that customers can easily contact their closest Western Star Truck dealer.
