NHVR previews service on YouTube

The National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) has uploaded two new clips to YouTube previewing its new Access Management System and online mapping tool
Ahead of the planned February 10, 2014 rollout of the new Heavy Vehicle National Law, the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) has uploaded two video clips to YouTube to give truck operators a preview of how the new body’s Access Management System (AMS) and online mapping tool, known as the NHVR Journey Planner, will work.
The NHVR has billed itself as a “one-stop shop” for Australia’s trucking industry, being a national body that gives truck operators a single point of contact for submitting applications and managing access. After an application is submitted online, the NHVR will then deal with all the various state and territory authorities to manage an application every step of the way.
The NHVR Journey Planner is essentially an online interactive map that shows approved routes for heavy vehicles. It also stores a customer’s login details to streamline future applications and allows customers to track their application’s progress, among other features.
