Detroit’s engine line-up for this week’s Brisbane Truck Show will highlight both the present with the well-proven DD15 workhorse, and the future of the brand with its newest offering – the powerhouse DD16.
Boasting an industry-best warranty package and superior reliability and performance without a mid-life change-out, Detroit’s DD15 stalwart has a proven track record in powering a wide range of vocational and on-highway Freightliner and Western Star trucks.
Complementing the DD15 will be the most powerful truck engine ever built by Detroit, the DD16. With up to 600hp and 2050 lb-ft (2779Nm) of torque, the big-bore DD16 has all the power Freightliner Cascadia 126 customers need and more.
“Our Detroit line-up at this year’s show demonstrates the strength of the Detroit brand in the Australian market,” said Bob Gowans, Detroit business manager, Penske Australia.
“With Detroit, there’s no compromise – our customers can have it all. From the outstanding efficiency and reliability of the DD15, to the impressive power and torque performance of the DD16, Detroit has a solution for everyone.

“Our customers experiencing the new DD16 product are giving great feedback on the performance as well as the total cost of ownership figures they are achieving.
“And with the DD15 able to be remanufactured, further extending the life and performance of customers’ investments, there’s no better testament to the variety of the Detroit offering.”
Visitors to the Detroit stand at the Brisbane Truck Show will also be able to enter the draw to win one of four Detroit-themed fridges across the event, a must-have accessory for any Detroit enthusiast.
Detroit can be found at stand 79 (foyer).
