Isuzu Australia Limited says the impact of truck downtime can extend far beyond basic repair costs, with lost business and damage to an operator's reputation also likely outcomes.
Often the wages of the driver of the stricken truck still need to be paid, while sourcing a replacement truck often adds to the financial pain.
While saving a pool of funds to cover truck downtime is prudent, Isuzu says a vital key to avoiding downtime is timely and thorough servicing.
To that end, Isuzu says its Isuzu Priority service agreements provide operators with peace of mind and keep Isuzu trucks running at their best.
One monthly fee covers repair and service costs for an Isuzu truck, taking much of the guesswork out of tracking your business's cost.
Three levels of cover are available: Isuzu Priority One, Isuzu Priority Total and Isuzu Priority Heritage.
Isuzu Priority One provides scheduled services including all the essentials, like filter and lubricant replacement, valve adjustments, belts, hoses and more.
Isuzu Priority Total builds on Isuzu Priority One and adds in-house diagnostics, plus complete authorised servicing of all engine components, the transmission, brakes, suspension and all electrics.
Isuzu Priority Heritage meanwhile provides cover for older Isuzu trucks from model year 2000 to 2011, and extends to lubricants, valve adjustments, all labour, fault code checks and more.
