NSW Truck Aware campaign

The NSW government’s campaign to educate people about trucks puts punters in the driver's seat
The Be Truck Aware campaign highlights the importance of taking extra care around trucks, especially if you live, work or travel in Sydney.
The initiative says that with increased construction work across Sydney, there will be more trucks on the roads and changed traffic conditions.
The video below highlights the fact that trucks have more blind spots than cars and puts members of the general car-driving public behind the wheel of a truck to let them experience what a truck driver can and can’t see.
The video shows how difficult it is for people who have never driven a truck before to respond to the challenges that truck drivers face every day. Truck drivers are looking out for you, so you should look out for them – it’s a shared responsibility, the campaign implores.
In the campaign, there is also a video on pedestrian safety around trucks and hints for motorcyclists.
