Aussie-owned company celebrates first overseas order

Omni Tanker Pty Ltd is a 100 per cent Australian owned and operated company working in the advanced manufacturing and composite materials technology space.

The company manufactures innovative high-tech carbon-fibre composite tanks used for road transportation of bulk liquids. The tankers are certified for Dangerous Goods transportation and incorporate patented technology developed in Australia, which makes the tanks lighter, safer, and more durable than other competitive equipment.

The light weight of the tanks means significantly greater payloads, leading to more efficient transport operations and the composite technology means they can be used for a wide range of cargoes. There are now more than 150 Omni Tanks in service across Australia. The company was recognised with the 2016 JEC America’s Innovation Award for Transportation, a globally competitive award from the world’s largest composites organisation.

With strong performance from the tankers in the Australian market and IP protection through granted international patents, the company is now expanding to international markets. This month, the company will export the first Omni Tanks to Germany for the transportation of Dangerous Goods in the European market.
