To say that 2020 has been a disrupted year would be a massive understatement, but even with the disorder brought on by lockdowns, supply problems and border issues, we were still able to bring you some interesting and sometimes fun reviews.
Here at trucksales we can track how many people read our stories, so here are our top five reviews for 2020...
IVECO Daily 4x4
Here is a small truck with a big following. Even though it is still not officially launched in the Australian market, by far the most read of our reviews for the year was the IVECO Daily 4x4.
According to Iveco’s new Managing Director Michael May who we spoke to recently, the Daily 4x4 will be released early in 2021.
We were fortunate to get our hands on one about a year ago for this exclusive review.
Mercedes-Benz Unimog
The Mercedes-Benz Unimog has, for decades, been lauded as one of the best off-roaders on the planet.
It has been used in many vocations including military, agriculture, rescue and many more.
Over the years the Unimog has developed to the point that rather than just being a utilitarian vehicle, which it still is, it's now also a more refined truck you can easily drive every day.
We got our hands on one for day of fun in the mud.
Freightliner Cascadia
One of the biggest launches of recent times was the Freightliner Cascadia. Parent company Daimler Trucks has spent a small fortune in testing and R&D to get this truck to our market.
It’s the most advanced and innovative bonneted truck on the market today and when we drove it, we came away impressed.
Hino 500 FE Standard Cab
The Hino 500 Series Standard Cab was a deserved winner of the 2020 Trucksales Safety Award following its launch last year.
The 500 Series Standard Cab brought a new level of safety to the medium-duty truck market and it seems like it also got the attention of our readers as it easily made our top five reviews for 2020.
DAF CF 450 Launch Review
DAF was lucky enough to squeeze in the launch of its new-generation CF and XF trucks before COVID hit.
We got a great insight into the trucks at the launch in Queensland, which proved very popular with our readership.
