PACCAR Australia's rental arm, PacLease Australia, has announced that it has partnered with tech giant Trimble to offer a telematics solution in its rental trucks.
The Kenworth and DAF rental fleet will be fitted with Trimble's Truck4U telematics system, allowing rental and lease customers to better manage their vehicle and track their performance with a high degree of accuracy.
"We are excited to be partnering with PacLease Australia to deliver our telematics platform to its customers, providing them with increased fleet visibility and efficiency," said Michel Van Maercke, General Manager of Trimble's Transport and Logistics Division, Asia Pacific and EMEA.
"PacLease's rental and leasing customers will now have the ability to add optional Trimble fleet tools – such as real-time Over-the-Air track and trace, CAN-based Fleet Management System data and driving style analysis, and sensor monitoring – to improve driver safety, lower running costs and better manage assets."
The Director of PacLease Australia, Olen Hunter (pictured), said the system would ultimately deliver savings for operators.
"Collaborating with Trimble reaffirms our commitment to investing in innovative solutions that help us provide our customers with a superior full-service offering that meets their specific transport needs," he said.
