MaxiTRANS brand Peki has unveiled a new rigid truck body, with the updated design – available in dry freight models through to chiller and freezer specifications – boasting a raft of enhancements.
The improvements include better floor insulation, simplified rear door panels and a "forklift-proof" front wall.
According to Peki's General Manager, Neil Zantuck, the new body will only enhance the manufacturer's reputation for quality and leading thermal efficiency.
"Many of the improvements are based around greater durability and easier maintenance," he says.
"We also offer a large range of optional components such as tail lifts, side doors, Load Lok and lighting options for complete customisation of the body."
The new Peki bodies will be manufactured at MaxiTRANS's production facility in Dandenong, in Melbourne's south-eastern suburbs. Mr Zantuck says Peki can seamlessly integrate into a customer's purchase process for a new truck.
"Melbourne is a common landing port for many new trucks imported into Australia, not to mention being a manufacturing hub for made-to-order vehicles," he says.
"Customers purchasing a truck from an interstate dealership can arrange to have the body fitted after it lands and before it is transported to its destination, with no interruption to the delivery process."
Mr Zantuck says Peki offers local support via its Australia-wide network of dealerships.
"We have already taken orders from fleets in Queensland and South Australia," he says.
"We have also received orders from truck dealerships and a number of smaller operators in Victoria and we encourage interest from similar customers in other states who have trucks arriving or being assembled in Melbourne."
