Penske welcomes Trucksmart to dealer network

Penske Australia has appointed Trucksmart to its truck dealer network, representing the Western Star Trucks, MAN Truck & Bus, Dennis Eagle and Detroit brands in the Hunter Valley and Newcastle region.

Trucksmart commenced operations on October 16, following the conclusion of North Star Motors’ agreement.

Founded over 30 years ago by managing director David Body, Trucksmart has grown into a highly respected transport business, serving both local and national customers.

With a team of over 60 employees, including 17 skilled technicians and a strong leadership group, Trucksmart will provide comprehensive sales, service and parts support for Penske’s portfolio of brands.

“We are excited to welcome Trucksmart to our Australian dealer network,” said George Konstantinou, head of dealer capability at Penske Australia.

“With extensive experience in heavy-duty European truck sales and support and an expansive aftermarket parts business, David and his team are well-positioned to support our customers.”

Body is delighted to be joining the Penske family.

“My son, Michael Body, leads our parts division, building on years of expertise and customer support, while Jack Walker, who began his career as an apprentice specialising in Penske products, now oversees our modern, 10-bay Beresfield workshop and 24/7 mobile breakdown service, ensuring our customers are supported both day and night.
