The Australian Trucking Association has announced the program for its Trucking Australia 2019 conference in Perth (April 3-5), with safety, truck rest areas and the WA perspective on road freight all featuring prominently.
"This is an opportunity to join the nation's trucking operators and industry stakeholders as we tackle the big issues together," said ATA Chair, Geoff Crouch.
"Trucking Australia is all about collaboration and connection. 2019 will be a big year for trucking and there is no better way to get across all the issues and make sure your voice is heard.
"Delegates will join expert speakers from Western Australia and beyond to share ideas and develop an understanding of the role we can all play in improving our industry's safety, productivity and viability.
"Trucking Australia 2019 is not to be missed. In addition to informative sessions and collaborative workshops, we will be launching the new TruckSafe standards as well as a number of important industry reports.
"These reports will be discussed for the first time at our conference. You will not find them anywhere else."
