Isuzu’s 2025 FY Series line-up is officially on sale across the country as part of the brand’s second phase model roll-out.
Consisting of six 8x4 model variants under the FYH and FYJ classification, the release rounds out the brand’s heavy-duty offering. The models sit on the 32,000kg Gross Vehicle Mass (GVM) limit with a range of wheelbase (from 5080 to 6700mm) and suspension options, a new ADR-compliant Euro VI powerplant, a brand-new cab, a first-in-class safety package and much more.

“Going back over a decade since its inception in 2012, the FY Series has gained a loyal following amongst a range of Australian industry, from concrete mixing to waste, utilities and excavation,” said Isuzu Australia Limited’s (IAL) Head of Sales, Craig White.
“It’s carved out quite a niche for itself over the years and continues to perform admirably against its heavyweight brand competitors in that market segment.
“With this release, we can say unequivocally that the FY Series offers a highly competitive spec at its price-point and presents a compelling value-proposition for heavy-duty operators.”

Isuzu’s venerable six-cylinder, direct injection 6UZ1-TCC powerplant, mated to the Allison HD4430 heavy-duty automatic transmission, is fitted to all six models, with power and torque peaks now 259kW (at 2000rpm) and 1437Nm (at 1400rpm) and emissions all meeting the new mandatory ADR80/04 levels now required in Australia.
The FY Series integrates up to 12 active and passive safety systems, thanks with Isuzu’s enhanced Advanced Driver Assistance System which pairs a low-mounted windscreen camera with a bumper-integrated long-range radar.
“We have every confidence our customers’ needs and wants in the heavy-duty space will continue be met and indeed exceeded with this latest release,” Mr White continued.
“As an independent truck maker, Isuzu continues to compete successfully against the world's largest and most well-funded automotive groups.
“The introduction of our now complete MY25 heavy-duty range positions us to compete at the forefront of the industry, potentially rivalling the market’s established leaders sooner than anticipated.”
