The organiser of the 2014 International Truck, Trailer & Equipment Show (ITTES) says this year’s event is shaping up as the biggest yet, with a record-breaking number of over 10,000 people pre-registering their intention to attend.
Due to be held at Melbourne’s Royal Showgrounds over April 3-6, 2014, the ITTES will feature a smorgasbord of new trucks, trailers and related equipment and service providers, with the latest and greatest products on show from 15 major truck brands and over 40 trailer brands said to be worth an estimated $500 million.
The organiser says this year’s show will also feature the biggest range of aftermarket equipment suppliers ever seen at an Australian commercial truck show.
Over 40,000 trade and public visitors are expected to attend the 2014 ITTES, where they’ll find over 350 exhibits spread over 55,000m² of exhibition space.
A total of 15 types of trailer will be displayed from manufacturers hailing from Australia, Germany, New Zealand, Belgium, China, Sweden, the UK and the USA, including tankers, tippers, skels, low loaders, side loaders, refrigerated trailers and more.
The many new trucks on show will be complemented by vintage hardware and 50 of Australia’s hottest custom rigs, thanks to the Road Transport Hall of Fame’s Heritage Truck Collection and the inaugural Invitational Show & Shine.
This year’s ITTES will also feature a purpose-built structure in the Main Arena that will feature over 100 exhibitors, which the organiser says will improve traffic flow and reduce the overall footprint of the event.
April 3 and 4 are trade-only days with the show open from 10am to 5pm. On April 5 and 6 the show will throw its doors open to the public, with the event open from 10am to 5pm on the Saturday and 10am to 4pm on the Sunday. Visit www.trucktrailershow.com.au for more information.
