Renault says its LCV range is driving the van market in Australia, with its Kangoo compact van, Master large van and Trafic (pictured) medium van finishing first, second and third respectively for sales in their classes in December.
Renault delivered 3758 new LCVs in Australia in 2015, the figure represent growth of 10.8 per cent over 2014.
"We are enjoying record demand in Australia for our van range," says Lyndon Healey, Model Line Manager for Renault LCV.
"By carefully studying the market and conversing with customers we have delivered vehicles in the correct specification, at the right price and with above-average back-up.
"While we have been supply constrained on the new Trafic we have made a very impressive start with this excellent vehicle. The Kangoo light van has also been in exceptional demand.
"Our record on total cost of ownership has been sound, thanks to the broad reassurance programmes we have put in place over the past three years. Customers understand the benefit of our long factory warranty, the ability to extend this warranty, as well as our Capped Price Servicing and the flexibility provided by Renault Financial Services in providing suitable financing for the commercial van market."
Mr Healey says the rollout of Renault's PRO+ LCV specialists has also made an impact.
"Our Renault PRO+ concept delivers an expert LCV dealership experience for customers, for whom we can provide a one-stop-shop for vehicle systems such as racking or body-building, speeding the order-to-delivery period. This means Renault LCV customers can get their new vehicle on the road earning money faster than ever."
Mr Healey says Renault will further consolidate its LCV offering in 2016.
"As we continue to expand the numbers of variants across our three models ranges, we will continue to grow our share of the light commercial market," he says.
"We have several new variants in the pipeline this year, including the debut of a 12-seater Master bus. We are confident 2016 will be another landmark year for Renault and our LCV customers."
