Renault Australia has announced it is now offering buyers of its light commercial vehicles the option of extending the three-year/200,000km factory warranty.
Buyers of a new Renault Kangoo, Trafic or Master can now elect to extend the standard coverage by one or two years. While the extension also includes 24/7 roadside assistance, the standard factory warranty's 200,000km limit remains.
Pricing for the warranty extensions are as follows:
>> Kangoo: $1090 (one extra year); $1890 (two extra years)
>> Trafic: $1390 (one extra year); $2390 (two extra years)
>> Master: $1690 (one extra year); $2890 (two extra years)
The extended warranty is only available on new Renault LCV models purchased from August 1, 2014, and it's fully transferable to second and subsequent owners.
Renault Australia says there's no obligation for the vehicle to be serviced within the Renault network, but the vehicle must be serviced and maintained according to the terms set out in the owner's handbook.
The extended warranty adds to the appeal of the Renault LCV fleet, which also benefits from Capped Price Servicing for three scheduled workshop visits.
Renault Australia's LCV Model Line Manager, Lyndon Healey, says the offer underlines the faith Renault places in its products.
"The new Renault LCV Extended Manufacturer Warranty provides customers with certainty around the total cost of ownership beyond the standard warranty period, and can both improve resale value and the ease of resale,” he says.
"We have maintained all the terms and conditions of the standard three-year/200,000km warranty into the fourth and fifth years. This is a major advantage over many aftermarket warranties, which often include numerous exclusions and limitations.
"We believe this extended warranty will be welcomed by many of our customers who seek peace of mind and greater transparency of their whole-of-life vehicle costs."
