Rollover sensors reduce fire risk

The new Redarc rollover sensor is now available from CoolDrive branches Australia-wide
Developed to maximise safety in the event of a rollover truck accident, the new Redarc rollover sensor (ROS) is now available from CoolDrive branches Australia-wide.
Meeting the latest legislative requirements for roll-over sensing, the Redarc ROS1224 triggers the vehicle’s battery master isolation switch when an imminent accident is detected, cutting power to the truck’s electrical system.

Risk of fire in a roll-over accident is then greatly reduced, as is damage to the truck’s electrical system.
The Redarc ROS uses two accelerometers designed for automotive safety applications to avoid false triggering, housed in a durable UV resistant case impervious to water and rock damage.
Testing in Australia’s harshest conditions has confirmed it is immune to vibration, bumps, shock and electrical transients, and resilient to heavy vehicle electrical environments.
An optional dash-mounted lamp readily accessible by the truck’s driver will also indicate faults as an additional safety feature of the system.
The Redarc ROS is compatible with existing isolation switches, installs quickly and easily with its multi-pin plug and suits both 12V and 24V systems. It’s also IP66, IP67 and IP69K rated.
