The stability control system is now standard fitment on all International ProStar models fitted with Eaton's UltraShift Plus automated manual transmission, and can be specified as an option on ProStars fitted with Eaton's Roadranger manual transmission.
The Bendix Wingman Fusion package, meanwhile, is now available as an option, and combines a radar, camera, and sophisticated electronics to deliver an array of leading safety technologies.
The collision mitigation system can detect a stationary object and issues visual and audible alerts to the driver, before applying the brakes autonomously if no driver intervention takes place. The feature operates at speeds above 24km/h, irrespective of whether or not the electronic cruise control is in operation.
The arrival of ESP and Bendix Wingman Fusion will invariably catch the eye of operators for whom these features are required for WHS compliance frameworks, while also helping to protect drivers' lives and preserve costly assets.
The updated ProStar also now boasts a range of square fuel-tank options to suit various wheelbases, with a capacity of up to 1300 litres available in some instances.
According to International's Engineering Manager, Adrian Wright, the new additions will further broaden the ProStar's appeal.
"Certain customers have extremely stringent operational requirements and with the earlier ProStar specifications we couldn't always meet all of these needs," he said.
"The availability of Wingman Fusion addresses this situation by introducing a suite of innovative active safety systems to go with the ProStar's existing safety benefits such as market-leading driver vision.
"The availability of ESP will also be well received, particularly by operators involved in high centre of gravity applications. All up, there are many more markets where the ProStar will now be able to stamp its mark."
