Scania claims another gong

Scania's new truck generation recently claimed another international accolade, being awarded Truck of the Year Latin America 2020

Scania's latest generation of trucks, which was first unveiled by the Swedish manufacturer in 2016, has been voted as 'Truck of the Year Latin America' for 2020 by a panel of 15 commercial vehicle editors and journalists from Brazil, Argentina, Chile and Peru.

The award is given to the truck that has made the biggest contribution to road transport efficiency since its introduction in the previous 12 months. Contenders are assessed across a range of criteria, including technological innovation, safety, fuel economy, comfort, driveability, environmental footprint and whole-of-life costs.

Presented at the Fenatran transport trade show in Sao Paulo, Brazil, the CEO of Scania Latin America, Christopher Podgorski, said the brand's new truck generation was winning acclaim across the rugged continent on multiple fronts.
