With industry expos now back in full swing, Isuzu Australia Limited has announced it will be attending both the Australasian Fire and Emergency Service Authority Council (AFAC) conference and expo in Adelaide and the Australasian Waste and Recycling Expo (AWRE) in Sydney this week.
To be held at the Adelaide Convention Centre over August 23 to 26, this year’s AFAC conference adopts the theme of ‘Connecting Communities and Creating Resilience’, underlining the importance of Australians coming together to support one another in times of fires, floods, and the pandemic.
Isuzu will be displaying its fully operational FTS 139-260 4x4 Crew heavy tanker at the event, alongside an Isuzu NPS 75-155 4x4 Crew tanker on loan from the South Australian Country Fire Service.
“The AFAC conference and exhibition is vital for climate crisis preparedness here in Australia, and after the environmental events of the past few years it’s more important than ever for Isuzu’s reliability to be put to the test in the fire and emergency services sector,” said IAL National Sales Manager, Les Spaltman.
“The trucks displayed on the Isuzu stand at this years’ event have been specially designed with the safety of the lives of crew members in mind.
“What we can bring to the equation is an extremely safe and extremely capable platform with the very latest in innovation and engineering nous that Isuzu has become known for.”
Meanwhile, over August 24 and 25, Isuzu will also be on hand at the Australasian Waste and Recycling Expo at Sydney’s International Convention Centre.
The brand will be showcasing a dual-control Isuzu FVY 240-300 at the event, the truck specifically designed for kerbside waste applications.
With a factory-developed engine and body control module tailored for the Australian market, Isuzu says its dual-control line-up offers substantial tare weight advantages, while the soon-to-be-released 2022 Dual Control range will also feature electronic stability control and an Electronic Braking System.
“We have a highly competitive low tare weight solution on offer here – one which ticks some key boxes for Australian operators,” said Mr Spaltman.
“I’m pleased to say that since updates were introduced in 2019, we’ve enjoyed some great sales success across the Dual Control range, with many finding a home in waste fleets across Australia.
“What we’ve worked really hard to develop with these models is a compelling total-cost-of-ownership argument and I think we’ve hit the nail on the head this time.”
