New solar-powered tracker keeps tabs on costly assets
Geotab Inc has released the PUI solar-powered asset tracker TT600 series, for use on the Geotab Marketplace in Australia and New ZealandProviding fleet managers with near real-time, detailed tracking information for assets such as trailers, containers and generators, the solar-powered asset tracker TT600 series is said to be simple to install.
It provides true utilisation, dwell time, yard movements and yard entry and exit times of a fleet’s assets, using GPS-based tracking to provide insight into asset usage and location via the MyGeotab platform.
PUI is a global provider of customisable IoT (Internet of Things) hardware devices and asset-monitoring solutions.
Designed to withstand harsh conditions, the solar asset tracker is IP67-certified for durability. Equipped with efficient solar cells, advanced cellular technology and a battery life of up to six years, PUI offers fleet managers a reliable, self-sustaining solution to enhance business operations.

trucksales asked Geotab for typical costings for asset tracking, but the corporation explained that it operates through a partner network to ensure that customers are supported locally. For a quotation, Geotab puts customers in touch with a local partner.
Their capital-expenditure model offers outright purchases for the units and a Software-as-a-Service monthly model, per vehicle per month, for subscriptions.
