Tesla teases new truck

Tesla boss Elon Musk says we’ll see the new Semi in September
Elon Musk has opened up a bit more about his new truck at the Technology, Entertainment and Design (TED) conference in Canada.
Musk said that the new truck would be a long-range truck that would rival any diesel. He released this teaser pic along with his guarded statements:
"This is a heavy-duty long-range semi truck," he said.

"It’s the highest weight capability with long range. We want to show that our electric truck can out-torque any diesel truck," Musk added.

"If you had a tug-of-war situation, the electric truck would tow the diesel truck up hill."

The interviewer then went on to say that these aren’t going to be driverless they are going to be trucks that drivers want to drive.

"Yes," said Musk. "What’ll be really fun about these is that you’ll have a flat torque curve so this will be a very spry truck. It’ll be like driving a sports car.

From what Musk was saying, it appears the prototype is up and running and he’s had some fun driving it around his factory car park.

Let’s see what will be revealed in September…
