The tipper built around your business first

Inside more than 40 years of tipper body and trailer manufacturing built around Australian operators

A tipper that's close enough isn't good enough. Operators running quarries, construction sites, farms or civil projects need equipment built for their specific loads, routes and conditions, not a generic build adapted after the fact. That's the gap Chris's Body Builders (CBB) has spent more than 40 years filling.

Proudly Australian owned and operated since 1983, the Sunshine North, Victoria manufacturer designs and builds its full range of tipping bodies and trailers in-house, working directly with operators from the initial brief through to delivery and beyond.

Built around your operation, not off the shelf

CBB's core business is purpose built truck bodies and trailers, covering the full range of Australian-made tipping solutions and configured to suit individual operator requirements rather than a standard template. Its Hardox® tipping bodies and trailers are engineered for strength, durability and payload efficiency, with custom configurations available.

“Our focus has always been building equipment that works for our customers. Every trailer leaving our workshop has to be ready for real-world conditions,” said CBB CEO Chris Debono.

Lightweight aluminium, built for payload

Where operators need to maximise what they carry without sacrificing durability, CBB's lightweight aluminium bodies and trailers are designed to do exactly that. The reduced tare weight helps operators carry more product and improve efficiency on every run, and PBS-approved combinations are available to help eligible operators access increased payload opportunities. These units operate in variety of industries such as agriculture, quarry, construction, landscaping and general cartage applications. While dog trailers and semi-trailers are already a standard offering, newer additions including A-doubles, A-B triples, B-triples, Drop decks and rotary seal trailers have broadened the range, giving operators more options across their fleets.

More than four decades of engineering behind every build

CBB backs its product range with over 40 years of Australian manufacturing experience and in-house design, meaning every build, from a single rigid tipper to a full custom combination, is engineered and produced under one roof rather than pieced together from third-party suppliers.

“If we're putting something into one of our trailers, it's because we trust it to perform. No shortcuts, just dependable gear that's made to get the job done,” Debono said.

One partner, start to finish

What sets CBB apart isn't just the build, it's what happens around it. CBB offers a complete end-to-end solution: design and manufacturing through to maintaining, OEM parts and ongoing support, all from the one team. Operators dealing with a single, accountable partner rather than juggling multiple suppliers tend to spend less time chasing OEM parts and more time on the road.

That approach is backed by continued investment in people, with new skills and fresh thinking brought into both the workshop and design teams alongside decades of hands-on experience. It's a combination CBB credits for keeping its designs practical, efficient and reliable long after the sale.

For operators who need a truck body or trailer built around their business rather than the other way around, CBB's team can talk through what a build looks like for your operation. Explore CBB's equipment range or get in touch to discuss your next build.
