Called Harald, his has to be the ultimate truckies’ boat, and it’s up for sale for around $40k.
The owner, who works in a truck dealership, bought the old tug to tow his houseboat, which was on a barge. The cabin was dilapidated so he grabbed an old cab from the dealership and modified it to fit the boat.
He originally adapted the boat so it would steer via the wheel in the cab but he found there were too many turns lock to lock so it now steers via a joystick, but as you can in the photos, it still has the Scania dash.

The idea of the cab on the boat was all the more apt since the tug is equipped with a Scania DS11 marine engine.
The detail is great with the original lights, doors, mirrors and even the air horns on the roof!
After hundreds of hours work on the tugboat, the owner is ready to move on to other spare-time projects and has put this unique vessel on the market.
I wonder if he could come out here and do us a Kenworth version…
