Thermo King reveals SV-Series

Australian road freight refrigeration specialist Thermo King has expanded its product line-up with new units aimed at small to medium rigid trucks

Thermo King recently launched its new SV-Series of truck refrigeration units, with the two available models – the SV-400 and SV-600 – targeting the smaller end of the rigid truck market.

Both units are powered by the vehicle itself (the 'SV' name denotes 'Supreme Vehicle-powered') and feature proven Thermo King compressors. The company says the units also have a new condenser platform and an improved evaporator, with each boasting a new patented design.

The SV-400 has capacities of 4.36kW at 0ºC and 2.1kW at -20ºC while the SV-600 has capacities of 5.3kW at 0ºC and 2.72kW at -20ºC.

Thermo King says the new models are simple to install and maintain and are perfect for small to medium-size operators using light and medium rigid trucks for fresh and frozen applications.

The SV platform will expand in future with the addition of the SV-800, with that model currently in the final stages of its development.
