TMC scholarships up for grabs

Cummins South Pacific is providing scholarships to send three young truck service technicians to the upcoming 2015 PACCAR & Dealer TMC
Three young Australian trucking industry service technicians will be attending the 2015 PACCAR & Dealer Technical & Maintenance Conference (TMC) for free, thanks to scholarships for the event provided by Cummins South Pacific.
Presented by the Australian Trucking Association and the Australian Road Transport Suppliers' Association, the 2015 PACCAR & Dealer TMC will be held at the Automotive Centre of Excellence at Melbourne's Kangan Institute over October 26-28. This year's TMC will feature high-level technical sessions, compliance forums and product training workshop sessions, with multiple program streams to help attendees get the training and advice most relevant to their business.

The conference will also host the Castrol Vecton Awards Dinner, which will see the presentation of the 2015 Craig Roseneder Award and the Castrol Vecton Industry Achievement Award.

This will be the fourth year Cummins South Pacific has provided the TMC scholarships.

Cummins South Pacific Manager – Automotive Sales and Customer Support, Scott Alexander, said it was critical to support the professional growth of young people entering the industry's workshops.

"Today's young apprentices and technicians are the future of our industry," he said.

"Through the Cummins South Pacific scholarship, three young technicians will get the chance to learn from some of Australia's most experienced and knowledgeable maintenance people in transport. This wealth of talent and experience is an opportunity that can't be matched.

"We are proud to continue this partnership with TMC for our fourth year, and I look forward to meeting this year's winners during the event."

The scholarship comprises full delegate registration for the 2015 PACCAR & Dealer TMC and two nights' accommodation in Melbourne.
Any Australian business that employs a truck service technician can forward a nomination, with a limit of one nomination per business. To do so, describe in 25 words or less how the nominee would benefit from attending.

Nominees should be aged less than 25 years old on Friday, October 26, 2015, and nominations must be made by 5.00pm on Monday, August 10.
