Transport and logistics heavyweight Toll Group has just signed a major contract with Shell that will see it handling bulk fuel deliveries for the oil company across much of mainland Australia.
The deal, which Toll Group says should generate revenue of approximately $250 million over its initial five-year term, involves the distribution of both fuel and lubricants to service stations in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia and Western Australia.
According to the General Manager of Toll Liquids, Tim Kehoe, the development underlines Toll’s firm commitment to the fuel sector.
“We are really pleased to be expanding our business with Shell,” he said.
“Our businesses are well aligned in our determination to put safety first at all times and Shell has recognised this in awarding the work to Toll.
“This contract supports our fuel distribution strategy perfectly and further confirms Toll’s commitment to sustainable investment in the sector.”
Toll Group says the contracts for the deal will be finalised shortly.
