Toll seals $90 million Top End deal

Transport and logistics heavyweight Toll Group has inked a $90 million, 10-year contract with oil and gas giant INPEX
Toll Group has announced it was recently awarded a contract to support global oil and gas exploration and production firm INPEX, the deal said to be worth an estimated $90 million over 10 years.
In addition to providing logistical support for INPEX’s operations in Browse Basin, off the northern Western Australian coast, Toll will also design, build and run INPEX’s Offshore Logistics Base in the Northern Territory.
The CEO of Toll Global Resources, David Jackson, said Toll was anticipating a long and fruitful relationship with INPEX for the duration of its Ichthys Project, which is estimated to run for around 40 years.
“The variety of work we’re doing for the INPEX Offshore Logistics Base is an excellent example of Toll’s capabilities in servicing the oil and gas sector,” he said.
“This facility, along with the associated drilling support facility, developed for INPEX in Broome by the Toll Mermaid joint venture, demonstrates Toll’s commitment to invest in world-class facilities for our customers’ world-class projects.”
Located in Darwin, the base will provide support for the offshore facilities in the Ichthys Field, located around 820km west of Darwin.
Construction of the new facility, which will be owned by Toll, will commence in 2015.
